Biography

Samia Saad Abouelkheir is currently a Researcher of Marine Microbiology at the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, Alexandria branch, Egypt. She earned her Bachelor of Science at Alexandria University in Egypt and her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the same University in 2016. In her thesis work, she pioneered the Biofabrication of gold/activated carbon/polyvinyl alcohol (Au/Ac/PVA) polymer sheet and applied this to study its application in seawater desalination. After completing her Ph.D., Samia accepted a position as Editorial Board Member of Journal of Marine Science ISSN: 2661-3239. Journal of Marine Science - Bilingual Publishing Co is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal specializing in the field of marine science research. Samia's current research emphasizes the use of microorganisms as safe biological agents for the synthesis and production of promising nanomaterials providing an even vaster boost to green biotechnology as an emerging field of nanotechnology for sustainable production and cost reduction.
