Dr. Chuck Chuan NG received his First Class Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Management and subsequently completed his fast-track Ph.D. in Applied Environmental Sciences both at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Besides, he was one of the national 2012 Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong's (DYMM SPB-YDPA Malaysian Supreme King) Ph.D. Scholarship awardees.
He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM).
