Prof. Fei Yu is an Associate Professor in College of Marine Ecology and Environment at Shanghai Ocean University. She received an M.S. degree from China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research in 2007, a Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2013. She is a research scholar at The University of Akron in 2015-2016. Her current research mainly focuses on Environmental Materials (Adsorbents), Environmental Device (Capacitive Deionization), and the behavior of emerging pollutant.
Lishuang Hu, born in May 1975, Doctor, Professor. I have won the third prize of national defense science and technology award, the second prize of science and technology progress of Shanxi Province, and the third prize of science and technology award of China Ordnance Industry Corporation. Research interests: Research on modification and environmental protection application of natural and synthetic polymer compounds; Industrial wastewater treatment and waste recovery and utilization technology; Preparation of nanocomposites and research on their photocatalytic properties. Noureddine BOUAÏCHA studied biology and biotechnology at the University of Sfax (Tunisia), where he obtained his engineering degree in 1987. From 1988 to 1992, he studied toxicology at the University of Paris 7 (France) where he obtained his Master’s degree in 1989 and his PhD degree in 1992 on fundamental and applied toxicology. In 1993, he was postdoctoral researcher at INSERM U303 Mer and Santé (France) for studying purification and pharmacological studies of marine natural products. In 1994, he was postdoctoral researcher at National Institute of Agriculture Research (INRA), laboratory of toxicology and pharmacology for studying in vitro (cultures of hepatocytes) metabolism of veterinary drugs. In 1995, he was postdoctoral researcher at the University of Gent (Belgium), laboratory of analytical chemistry for studying analysis of cyanotoxins and phycotoxins by capillary electrophoresis technique. In 1997, he was research scientist at the National Museum of Natural History, Paris (France), laboratory of cryptogam for studying biodiversity of toxic cyanobacteria in aquatic ecosystem and their consequences on animal and human health and for the development of a serine/threonine protein phosphatase (PP2A) inhibition assay for the detection of cyanotoxins type microcystin in surface and drinking waters. In 2001, he obtained at the University of Paris-Sud, Faculty of pharmacy his habilitation to direction of reearch (HDR) on Environmental toxicology: Mechanisms of action of cyanobacterial toxins and their estrogenic and genotoxic potentials. Since 1998, he is Associate Professor in public health-environment at the University Paris-Saclay, Faculty of pharmacy. His current research at Laboratory Ecology, Systematic and Evolution, Univ. Paris-Saclay, CNRS, AgroParisTech (UMR8079) focuses on toxicology and ecotoxicology of cyanobacterial toxins. In particular in: (1) Biodiversity of toxic cyanobacteria and their toxins in aquatic ecosystems, (2) Environmental factors affecting cyanobacterial blooms formation and toxins production, (3) Mechanisms of action and estrogenic potential of cyanobacterial toxins, and (4) Bioaccumulation of cyanobacterial toxins in seafood and its impact in human and animal health. He Supervised 15 MSC, 8 PhD students and 25 doctoral thesis of pharmacy; and is co-author on over 70 papers and book chapters ranging (>1400 citations, h-index 23).
Shola Ololade (Ph.D.) is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Environmental Management at the University of the Free State (Bloemfontein, South Africa). She obtained an MSc degree in Environmental Science from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and a PhD in Environmental Management from the University of Johannesburg, both in South Africa. She has been involved in research topics related to environmental sustainability and supervised many Masters and PhD students along these topics. Her research interests include integrated water resources management, water-energy-food nexus, land use/cover analysis, mining and sustainability, and sustainable development. Shola is the author/co-author of more than 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and conferences and regularly acts as a reviewer for more than 16 international peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Daminda Sumanapala is a research fellow at the School of veterinary and life sciences of the Murdoch University, Western Australia. His research has focused primarily on nature-based tourism and protected areas; behaviorism in nature tourism and protected area landscapes; motivation, attitudes, knowledge expectation, and experiences of nature based tourism and protected areas. He is particularly interested in understanding challenges of nature-based tourism practice with human engagement and how it is mitigated and conserved for the future nature based tourism industry in South and Southeast Asian. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Biography: Dr. L.M. Pérez obtained his Biotechnology Grade at the National University of Rosario (2003, Argentina). After completed his PhD (2007) at the Institute of Experimental Physiology (IFISE-CONICET, UNR) he worked as postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Sanitary and Environmental Microbiology (2008-2010) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC-campus Terrassa, Barcelona, Spain). Afterwards, he worked as Research Associate (2012-2017) at the Rosario Chemistry Institute (IQUIR-CONICET). In 2015, he joined as Associate Professor at the Fac. of Chemistry and Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA), and later as Assistant Manager of the Laboratory of Environmental Biotechnology and Sustainable Biomaterials (Bio&TecMA, UCA-CONICET) at the Institute of Environmental Engineering, Chemistry and Applied Biotechnology (INGEBIO-UCA). Dr. Pérez has been involved in numerous both national and international projects, leading to a significant number of scientific publications including peer reviewed articles, technical reports and other scholarly communications on Microbiology, Food Technology and Environmental Sciences. He is also interested in communicating Science; hence he has been involved in educational programs at elementary and High-School, and also participated as speaker in several Workshops for Science Education and Promotion.

Dr. Lianwu Guan is a lecture and postdoctoral researcher at the College of Automation in HEU (since 2017). His researches concentrated on inertial measurement unit (IMU), inertial based integrated navigation and localization systems with their application in pipeline inspection & localization robots, intelligent ski machine, unmanned autonomous vehicle, underwater autonomous vehicle and other fields. Dr. Guan holds B.Sc. degree in M&C Technology and Instrumentation (2011) and M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree in Navigation, Guidance and Control (2016) from HEU, Harbin, China. In addition, he has a Visiting Research experience in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Queen’s University and Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Canada from Sep. 2014 to March 2016. Dr. Guan is the author and coauthor over 25 scientific papers and over 20 patents in China, USA, Japan, France and other countries. His results are reported on several international conferences in UAE «ICCSPA’19», China «ICMA’2018», France «IFAC World Congress’2017», USA«PLANS’2016», and Japan «ICMA’2013» and others. Biography Topwe Mwene-Mbeja currently works as a Professor of organic chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He received Ph.D. in organic chemistry at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He is a member of the association of graduates of Laval University. He is also a member of University of Manitoba Alumni Association, Manitoba, Canada, and a Representative of Lubumbashi University to Canadian Universities. He is a researcher at Hydro-Quebec Institute for Environment, Development and Society at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He is a member of Editorial Board of many Journals, and has received many invitations to publish in many Journals as well as to act as keynote speaker and as an organizing committee member of several international conferences. Topwe Mwene-Mbeja does research in Medicinal Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. His group is interested in the discovery of biologically active natural products possessing properties against cancer. His group is also interested in green chemistry projects related to the prevention of pollution of the environment and sustainable development.
Biography: Graduated in Nutrition from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2008), Master in Nutrition from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2011) and PhD in Food Science and Technology from the Federal University of Pará (2019). I am an environmental scientist having broad research interests in environmental toxicology and chemistry of traditional (e.g., heavy metals) and emerging (e.g., engineered nanomaterials, nano-/micro- plastic) environmental contaminants, and using nanotechnology to solve environmental issues. In particular, I have extensive expertise on the toxicological study of the pollutant using omics technology, focusing on a range of organisms. I am also interested in developing and setting up in vitro physiological barrier model for the toxicity risk assessment. I am also very interested in developing engineered nanomaterials for biomedical application. Dr. Malafaia (Guilherme) He is a Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Goiano (Goiás State, Brazil). He received a bachelor’s degree from Federal University of Ouro Preto, a MS from Federal University of Goiás, PhD and Postdoc from Federal University of Goiás, all related to Environmental and Biological Sciences. He is directing the Biological Research Laboratory with a focus on the ecotoxicological assessment of emerging pollutants, including micro- and nanoplastics, nanomaterials, nanofibers, pesticides, drug residues, etc. The ongoing research projects in his lab use different animal species as model systems (eg: mice, zebrafish, guppy, Amazon-turtle, tadpole, Japanese quails, mosquito larvae, earthworms, and dragonfly larvae, in addition to aquatic and native plants from Brazilian Cerrado). Dr. David Galan is a scientific researcher (from 2004 up to nowadays) in the Department of Atmospheric Pollution (National Reference Laboratory for Air Quality in Spain) of the National Center for Environmental Health (Health Institute Carlos III). He is the head of functional unit in that Department and holds a PhD in Inorganic and Bioinorganic Chemistry by Complutense University of Madrid (Mention of European Doctorate). Similarly, Dr. Galán is an expert in instrumental techniques by Faculty of Chemical Sciences (Complutense University of Madrid) and holds a Master in Computer Science and Management as well as 31 specific courses. In 2001, he obtained at the University of Paris-Sud, Faculty of pharmacy his habilitation to direction of reearch (HDR) on Environmental toxicology: Mechanisms of action of cyanobacterial toxins and their estrogenic and genotoxic potentials. Since 1998, he is Associate Professor in public health-environment at the University Paris-Saclay, Faculty of pharmacy. His current research at Laboratory Ecology, Systematic and Evolution, Univ. Paris-Saclay, CNRS, AgroParisTech (UMR8079) focuses on toxicology and ecotoxicology of cyanobacterial toxins. Topwe Mwene-Mbeja currently works as a Professor of organic chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He received Ph.D. in organic chemistry at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He is a member of the association of graduates of Laval University. He is also a member of University of Manitoba Alumni Association, Manitoba, Canada, and a Representative of Lubumbashi University to Canadian Universities. He is a researcher at Hydro-Quebec Institute for Environment, Development and Society at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He is a member of Editorial Board of many Journals, and has received many invitations to publish in many Journals as well as to act as keynote speaker and as an organizing committee member of several international conferences. Topwe Mwene-Mbeja does research in Medicinal Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. His group is interested in the discovery of biologically active natural products possessing properties against cancer. His group is also interested in green chemistry projects related to the prevention of pollution of the environment and sustainable development.

Dr. David Galan is a scientific researcher (from 2004 up to nowadays) in the Department of Atmospheric Pollution (National Reference Laboratory for Air Quality in Spain) of the National Center for Environmental Health (Health Institute Carlos III). He is the head of functional unit in that Department and holds a PhD in Inorganic and Bioinorganic Chemistry by Complutense University of Madrid (Mention of European Doctorate). Similarly, Dr. Galán is an expert in instrumental techniques by Faculty of Chemical Sciences (Complutense University of Madrid) and holds a Master in Computer Science and Management as well as 31 specific courses. Dr. Galán has published more than 190 scientific-technical reports as well as more than 36 oral communications in international congresses, including air quality issues.
